Santa Cruz Port Welcomes Summer with Music, Food and Shopping Event

The Port of Santa Cruz de Tenerife will become the setting for a major summer celebration this Friday, combining live music, gastronomy and local commerce in an event designed to welcome the new season.

Organised as part of the city’s summer programme, the event will begin at 7:00pm and feature free concerts, dining areas and special promotions from dozens of local businesses.

Live Music by the Sea

The musical programme starts at 8:00pm with DJ Brito, who will both open and close the evening.

One of the night’s headline acts will be Estrellas de Buena Vista y Más, a 14-piece international ensemble linked to the legacy of the legendary Buena Vista Social Club. The group will bring its acclaimed “Live In Havana Tour” to Santa Cruz, offering an evening of Cuban rhythms and classic Latin music.

Later, popular Canarian party band Orquesta Maquinaria Band will take to the stage, providing the soundtrack for the final part of the celebration, which will continue until 1:00am.

Food, Shopping and Local Businesses

Beyond the concerts, the event aims to showcase Santa Cruz’s local economy.

A total of 84 businesses are taking part, including:

🛍️ 42 retail businesses

🍽️ 38 restaurants and food establishments

🍸 4 nightlife venues

Participating businesses will offer special promotions, discounts and exclusive deals linked to the event.

The popular dining area will return with its distinctive “white dinner” format, featuring tables for groups of different sizes. Guests can either bring their own food or order menus and dishes from businesses participating in the Degusta Santa Cruz initiative.

Free Entry

The venue will accommodate around 500 diners in the gastronomic area and up to 4,500 people in the concert zone.

🎟️ Entry to the concert area is free, subject to capacity.

With live music, local cuisine, shopping offers and a waterfront setting, the event promises to be one of Santa Cruz’s biggest celebrations to mark the start of summer.
