What data we collect
When you subscribe to the LocalTenerife newsletter, we collect your name and email address. This may happen via our website sign-up form or through a Meta Lead Ad on Facebook or Instagram.
Why we collect it
We use your name and email address to send you the LocalTenerife newsletter — local news, events, recommendations, and updates about life on the island. That’s it. We don’t use it for anything else without asking you first.
The legal basis for processing your data (GDPR)
Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), we process your data on the basis of your consent. You gave that consent when you submitted your details and agreed to receive the newsletter. You can withdraw that consent at any time (see below).
Where your data is stored
Your data is stored and managed using GoHighLevel, a third-party CRM and marketing platform. GoHighLevel processes data in accordance with GDPR and maintains appropriate security measures. We do not store your data on our own servers.

Meta Lead Ads
If you subscribed via a Meta Lead Ad on Facebook or Instagram, your data was collected through Meta’s platform and transferred to us in accordance with Meta’s Lead Ad Terms. By submitting your details through a Meta Lead Ad, you consented to us receiving and using that data to send you the LocalTenerife newsletter.
We do not share your Lead Ad data with any third parties, and we will never sell it.
How long we keep your data
We keep your data for as long as you remain a subscriber. If you unsubscribe, we will remove your details from our active mailing list. You can request complete deletion of your data at any time by emailing info@localtenerife.com.
Your rights under GDPR
You have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Request correction of any inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your data (“the right to be forgotten”)
- Withdraw your consent to receive the newsletter at any time
- Lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority
In Spain, the relevant supervisory authority is the Agencia Española de Protección de Datos (AEPD) — www.aepd.es

Unsubscribing
Every newsletter we send includes an unsubscribe link at the bottom. One click and you’re off the list. You can also email info@localtenerife.com and ask us to remove you manually.
