If you’re looking for something different to do this summer, Vilaflor Late is worth adding to your diary.
Returning for its fourth edition on Saturday 8 August, the free festival will once again transform Plaza de San Pedro into a lively hub of music, local food, artisan markets and family entertainment, with activities running from 11am until 2am.
Set in Spain’s highest village, the event has quickly become one of August’s standout celebrations in south Tenerife.
A Festival That Celebrates Local Life
Vilaflor Late was created to showcase everything that makes the area special.
Rather than focusing solely on live music, the festival brings together local businesses, wineries, designers, food producers and craftspeople, helping to promote the village while supporting the local economy.
Organisers say the aim is to encourage visitors to spend the whole day exploring Vilaflor and discovering what the municipality has to offer.
A New Food Trail for 2026
One of this year’s biggest additions is La Ruta de los Latidos, a new gastronomic route featuring exclusive dishes created by five local restaurants and cafés.
Visitors will be able to sample special recipes prepared by:
- Restaurante Los Cipreses
- Pausa Café Vilaflor
- Dulcería Hermano Pedro
- Restaurante Guachinche Vi La Flor de Chasna
- Restaurante Casino Vilaflor “La Mami”
The programme also introduces Cosechando en Altura, a new initiative celebrating locally grown mountain produce through live cooking demonstrations and tastings.
Music Throughout the Day
The live entertainment begins in the afternoon and continues late into the night.
This year’s line-up includes:
- 3:30pm – David Pérez
- 7:45pm – Rumba Manigua
- 9:30pm – Boyeros
- 11:00pm – David Pérez returns
- Midnight until 2:00am – La Calle
Organisers are also encouraging visitors to wear white clothing for the festival’s “Vilaflor al Sol” music sessions.
Design Market and Family Activities
From 11am until 10pm, the festival’s design market will feature a wide selection of Canarian fashion, handmade products, artwork and gifts from local designers and artisans.
Families can also enjoy games and activities throughout the day, including digital competitions, interactive challenges, quizzes and entertainment suitable for all ages.
A guided visit to Huerta Grande and a live cooking demonstration will add to the day’s programme.
Getting There
To make visiting easier, organisers have arranged:
- Free public parking close to Plaza de San Pedro
- TITSA Route 342 from Costa Adeje via Vilaflor
- TITSA Route 482 from Los Cristianos to Vilaflor
A Summer Event That Keeps Growing
In just four years, Vilaflor Late has established itself as one of Tenerife’s most enjoyable free festivals.
Combining live music, local food, artisan markets and family activities in one of the island’s most picturesque villages, it’s an excellent excuse to spend a summer day exploring a very different side of Tenerife.
