TLP Tenerife Marks 20th Anniversary with Five Days of Gaming, K-Pop and Digital Entertainment

TLP Tenerife will celebrate its 20th anniversary from 15th to 19th July at the Santa Cruz de Tenerife Exhibition Centre, bringing together gaming, anime, cosplay, K-Pop, digital creators and technology enthusiasts for one of the Canary Islands’ biggest digital entertainment events.

This year’s edition pays tribute to the event’s origins, recreating the spirit of the first LAN Party held in El Rosario in 2006, when around 150 participants gathered for what would become one of Spain’s longest-running technology festivals.

24-Hour LAN Party Returns

At the heart of the event is the iconic LAN Party, featuring 1,200 networked computer spaces operating 24 hours a day throughout the festival.

Organisers confirmed that all LAN tickets sold out last December, underlining the event’s continued popularity among gamers and technology enthusiasts.

The LAN area will once again host gaming tournaments, competitions and community activities, remaining one of TLP Tenerife’s most recognisable attractions.

Summer-Con and Special Guests

The public programme will centre around Summer-Con, celebrating Japanese culture, anime, manga, cosplay, gaming and digital entertainment.

Among the confirmed guests is popular content creator Luzu, alongside aXoZer, Noni, Mayichi and Carmen Sandwich, with more names expected to be announced in the coming weeks.

K-Pop and eSports

For the first time, TLP Tenerife will host the regional qualifying round of the K-POP World Festival, giving performers the opportunity to compete for a place in the international final in South Korea.

The event will also introduce Masters of TLP: Urban Edition, combining urban dance with K-Pop-inspired choreography.

Meanwhile, competitive gaming fans can enjoy the national final of ULTRAGAMER, featuring players from across Spain competing for the championship title.

Innovation and Professional Development

Beyond entertainment, TLP Innova will once again offer talks, workshops and masterclasses covering video games, animation, film, comics and digital art.

The professional programme aims to connect students, creators, businesses and industry professionals while showcasing career opportunities within the digital and creative sectors.

A Festival That Continues to Grow

Since its launch in 2006, TLP Tenerife has welcomed more than 740,000 visitors and has become one of Spain’s leading digital culture events.

According to the Cabildo de Tenerife, the 2025 edition attracted more than 70,000 visitors, generated an estimated €1.8 million in economic impact, and benefited around 200 local businesses.

This year’s event will also promote healthier habits by offering nutritious smoothies as an alternative to traditional energy drinks available at gaming festivals.
