The village of Tijoco Bajo, in the municipality of Adeje, will celebrate its 2026 festivities in honour of Our Lady of Mount Carmel and Saint Anthony Abbot from 3rd to 6th July, with a programme combining religious celebrations, live music, family activities and traditional Canarian customs.
The annual celebrations will once again bring together residents and visitors for four days of events designed to honour the village’s patron saints while preserving the traditions that have long been at the heart of community life.
Friday 3rd July
The festivities officially begin at 11:00am with the arrival of the sound and lighting teams.
At 7:00pm, the Tamatimba Batucada will parade through the streets of Tijoco Bajo before arriving at the Plaza Virgen del Carmen.
The evening continues at 8:30pm with the gala “¿Quién Sos Tú, Mi Niño?”, directed by Daniel Linares and presented by Canarian influencer Ceci Wallace, featuring performances by children and adult residents of the village.
From 11:30pm, a popular open-air dance will feature music from Grupo Caribe, Orquesta Guaracha and a live DJ session.
Saturday 4th July
The morning is dedicated to families, with inflatable castles, water attractions and activities for children from 11:00am.
At 8:30pm, parish priest Kike will lead prayers before the solemn procession in honour of Our Lady of Mount Carmel. The procession will follow its traditional route accompanied by the Patronato Musical Histórica Villa de Adeje Band, local authorities, the festival committee and residents.
The image of the Virgin will be carried by the Association of Friends of Traditions, while singer Dulce Barrios will perform a special tribute on arrival at El Granero. Fireworks by Hermanos Toste will accompany the procession.
From 11:00pm, celebrations continue with a grand dance featuring Grupo Caribe, Maquinaria Band and Orquesta Wamampy, while younger festivalgoers can enjoy performances by DJ Javi Plasencia and Iván Castillo from 11:30pm.
Sunday 5th July
Festivities continue at 5:00pm with Holy Mass followed by the procession in honour of Our Lady of Mount Carmel and Saint Anthony Abbot, accompanied by the Imoque Cultural Association, local authorities and residents.
At 7:00pm, the nostalgic event “Recordar es Vivir” begins with live performances by Parranda El Mesturado, Arturo Castillo and Orquesta Orotava.
The evening concludes with a final open-air dance featuring Grupo Atlantic and Generación Zero.
Monday 6th July
The final day begins at 12:00pm with a large foam party, inflatable attractions and music from DJ Javi Plasencia.
From 7:00pm, residents and visitors can enjoy a traditional Canarian food evening prepared by Balcón de Higa Catering.
The 2026 festivities will come to a close with live performances from Orquesta Wamampy and Orquesta Sabrosa, bringing four days of celebration, music and community spirit to an end.
