Burger lovers have a date with Santa Cruz de Tenerife this weekend, as Burgerfest Canarias 2026 takes over the Francisco La Roche esplanade from 23 to 25 October.
Entry is free, and more than 15 restaurants from across the Canary Islands will be serving up their creations, with a focus on local produce. There will also be a vegan area, a dedicated gluten-free section, sweet treats and beers from around the world.
One burger already making a bit of noise is the MILF burger from Madre Mía! Burgers. It comes with 40-day aged beef, cheddar cheese, ranch sauce, bacon jam, crispy bacon and fried onions. Subtle it isn’t, but then nobody comes to a burger festival looking for a salad.
Three days of food and music
There’s live music and DJs throughout the weekend, so you can work your way through the food stalls without the place going quiet.

Prizes for the best burgers
There’s a competitive side to the weekend too, with prizes for the festival’s top burgers. The main competition offers €500 in total prize money, split between €300 for first place, €150 for second and €50 for third.
A separate €150 prize will go to the public’s favourite burger.
With food from across the islands, live music, sweet treats and plenty of opportunities to try something new, Burgerfest Canarias looks set to be a busy weekend for anyone who takes their burgers seriously.
