Nueva Línea confirms two new singers as the orchestra prepares to return to the stage

It’s been a turbulent few weeks for one of Tenerife’s best-known orchestras.

Following the departure of its four female vocalists, Nueva Línea has been working to rebuild its line-up ahead of a busy summer season. The changes forced the cancellation of several scheduled performances, leaving many fans wondering what would happen next.

Now, it looks like the orchestra is moving forward.

Two new singers confirmed

Through a series of posts on Instagram, Nueva Línea has confirmed that two new female singers have joined the group.

The orchestra has been keeping their identities a secret for now, sharing only silhouette images of the new performers. In one recent post, the group simply announced:

“Second singer: confirmed.”

At the time of writing, the names of the new vocalists have not been officially revealed.

Could one familiar face be returning?

While Nueva Línea has yet to make a formal announcement, there has already been speculation about one of the new additions.

Entertainment journalist Javi Hoyos has suggested that Tiara Hernández could be returning to the orchestra. Tiara has previously performed with Nueva Línea and recently stepped in to cover for former singer Raquel González during one of the group’s performances.

Fans have also noticed similarities between one of the silhouette images shared by the orchestra and photographs on Tiara’s social media profiles.

However, it’s worth stressing that this has not been confirmed by Nueva Línea, so supporters will need to wait for the official announcement before knowing whether the rumours are correct.

Looking ahead

After losing Sofía Marrero, Raquel González, Mayte Cabrera and Alicia Padilla in a short space of time, the orchestra faces the challenge of rebuilding its stage line-up while keeping its performance calendar on track.

With two singers now confirmed and further announcements expected, Nueva Línea appears to be taking the first steps towards returning to its full programme of live shows.

Fans won’t have to wait much longer to find out exactly who’ll be taking to the stage.
