Local produce, sustainable cooking and the people behind Tenerife’s food industry will take centre stage at GastroSur 2026, taking place in Adeje on Thursday 29 October.
Organised by the Circle of Entrepreneurs and Professionals of South Tenerife (CEST), the eighth edition of this annual gathering brings together people working in agriculture, food production and the restaurant trade.
The aim is simple enough: strengthen the links between local producers and the restaurants that turn their ingredients into something worth sitting down for.
From local producers to the restaurant table
The morning programme will include talks, training activities, cooking demonstrations, product displays and tastings.
The focus is on encouraging the use of locally produced ingredients, supporting a more sustainable approach to gastronomy and creating new opportunities for businesses across the sector.
It’s also a chance to recognise the work of the people who grow and produce the food, rather than only those who serve it. Stronger links between producers and restaurants can help keep local products in demand and support the wider agricultural economy.
