Four Halloween plans in Santa Cruz de Tenerife, from family fun to late-night parties

Santa Cruz de Tenerife has several ways to celebrate Halloween this year, whether you fancy a family-friendly daytime event, an unusual party in a museum or dancing until the early hours.

The programme covers Friday 30 and Saturday 31 October, with activities ranging from mystery games and creative workshops to a space-themed party and a night out at Bulan Social Club.

Here are four options to consider.

1. Family Halloween fun at El Chapatal

IES El Chapatal will host a family Halloween event on Saturday 31 October, running from 11am to 3pm.

The entrance will be on Calle Pintor Martín González in Santa Cruz. The event offers a daytime option for families who want to get into the Halloween spirit without staying out late.

It’s a straightforward choice if you’re looking for something to do with the children during the day.

2. Space Invaders takes over the MUNA

The Museum of Nature and Archaeology, known as the MUNA, is going intergalactic for Halloween with El Desembarco: Space Invaders on Saturday 31 October.

The event runs from 5.30pm until 1.30am, combining Halloween with a space-themed setting and a few extraterrestrial surprises.

Activities include a circus performance, fairground games, pumpkin cake tasting and a mechanical rodeo bull.

The ticket also includes two tokens redeemable for drinks, along with three mystery items: an astronaut, a planet and an alien skull. What you’re supposed to do with them is part of the fun, apparently.

It’s a slightly different take on the usual Halloween party, with plenty going on beyond the costumes.

3. A Halloween camp for young people in Acorán

Santa Cruz’s Distrito Joven programme is organising a Halloween camp in Acorán on Friday 30 and Saturday 31 October.

It’s aimed at young people aged 14 to 30 who are registered residents of Santa Cruz de Tenerife.

The camp begins at 6pm on Friday and continues through Saturday, with night games, mystery activities, creative workshops and group activities designed to bring everyone together.

There are 30 free places, so advance registration through Distrito Joven is required.

For younger adults who would rather do something more involved than head to a nightclub, it offers a chance to meet people and enjoy a Halloween-themed experience over two days.

4. Halloween music at Bulan Social Club

If your idea of Halloween involves music and a late finish, Bulan Social Club on Calle La Noria is hosting a themed party on Saturday 31 October.

The event starts at 10pm and continues into the early hours of Sunday 1 November.

The line-up features DJ sets from José Hdez, Miguel Mones, Iva Dive and Anabel Sigel.

Tickets cost between €12 and €20, depending on the ticket type and entry time. The event is strictly for over-18s.

So whether you’re after family activities, an unusual museum party, a camp with other young people or a night on the dance floor, Santa Cruz has a few different ways to spend Halloween.
