Getting to Eólica 2026 should be a little easier this year, with free bus services connecting Santa Cruz and Los Cristianos to the festival site at ITER in Granadilla de Abona.
The transport plan has been introduced for the 10th edition of the International Renewable Energy Festival EÓLICA, taking place on 16 and 17 October.
The aim is to make travelling to the event safer and more sustainable, while reducing the number of people arriving by private car. With thousands of festivalgoers expected, that sounds like a sensible arrangement.
Free Transport from the North and South
The special buses will connect:
- Santa Cruz de Tenerife Interchange
- Los Cristianos Bus Station
- ITER in Granadilla de Abona
Advance booking is required, so attendees should not simply turn up and hope there is a spare seat.
Anyone who already has a festival ticket will receive a direct booking link by email. New ticket buyers will be able to select their bus journey during the ticket purchase process.

Return services will operate at 00:00 and 02:00, with intermediate stops along the motorway to help passengers reach different parts of the island.
That should make the journey home considerably easier, particularly for anyone who has no intention of driving after spending several hours dancing to electronic music.
68 Artists Across Four Stages
After more than a decade away, Eólica is returning to its original home in Granadilla de Abona.
The festival first launched in 2003 and is being organised this year by New Event and Eslôgica.
The 2026 edition will feature 68 national and international artists, alongside performers from the Canary Islands’ electronic and cultural scene, including DJ Jonay, Javier Carballo and Carlos Deniz.

- Xoel López
The performances will be spread across four themed stages: Plastic, Crystal, Carton and Organic.
Music, Science and Sustainability
Eólica is not only about music.
The festival will also include environmental education workshops, art created with reused materials and scientific activities connected to the research carried out at ITER.
The event is supported by the Tenerife Cabildo, the Government of the Canary Islands and Granadilla de Abona Town Hall.
Its organisers also aim to recover the festival’s original focus on sustainability, which previously earned Eólica recognition as the first event in Spain to receive the Greener Festival Award.
With renewable energy, recycled art, science and electronic music all sharing the same space, Eólica is clearly aiming for something a little more ambitious than a standard weekend festival.
And with free transport from both Santa Cruz and Los Cristianos, there should be fewer excuses for leaving the car at home.
