The Puertito de Adeje will celebrate its traditional fiestas in honour of Nuestra Señora del Carmen from Friday 14 to Sunday 16 August, with three days of music, family activities, religious events and plenty of atmosphere by the sea.
The programme brings together local traditions and entertainment, with the procession and the traditional journey of the Virgin to her boat among the main highlights of the weekend.
📅 Date: Friday, 14 to Sunday, 16 August 2026
📍 Area: El Puertito, Adeje, Tenerife
🕔 Time: Various times throughout the three-day programme
Friday 14 August
The celebrations get underway at 7.30pm with a performance by Comparsa Kimbara.
The evening will then continue with music from DJ Ricky Martínez, keeping the atmosphere going into the night.
Saturday 15 August
Saturday starts at 10.00am with the arrival of Sonido Cassan.
At 2.00pm, there will be a Zumba masterclass with Patricia Chiquiar, followed by music throughout the afternoon.
The religious celebrations take centre stage at 9.30pm with a Mass in honour of Nuestra Señora del Carmen.
The Mass will be followed by a procession accompanied by La Capilla Musical. When the Virgin returns, Concha Pérez will perform the traditional Malagueña.
The evening will then turn into a proper village fiesta, with a free open-air dance from 11.00pm featuring Fernandito, Maikel Jiménez and Armonía Latina.
Sunday 16 August
Sunday brings one of the most traditional moments of the celebrations.
At 12.00pm, the Virgin will be taken down to her boat, following the customary route.
The afternoon will then become rather less solemn, with a foam party at 3.00pm, accompanied by Comparsa Kimbara.
From 4.00pm, there will be more music and dancing with Dúo Acorde.
A weekend of tradition by the sea
The Puertito fiestas are as much about bringing people together as they are about the individual events. The programme combines religious tradition, music, dancing and family entertainment, all taking place in one of Adeje’s coastal communities.
For three days, the focus will be on tradition, the sea, devotion and getting together, which is pretty much what a good village fiesta should be about.
