You haven’t forgotten… we’re now on summer time.
Last night, the clocks moved forward by one hour. In mainland Spain it jumped from 2:00am to 3:00am… and here in Tenerife and the Canary Islands, from 1:00am to 2:00am.
It happens every year, last Sunday of March.
One Hour Less… But More Light
You lose an hour’s sleep… which you definitely feel in the morning.
But in return, you get longer evenings.
And that’s where it starts to make sense.
A Shift You Notice Straight Away
There’s something about this change that feels bigger than just the clock.
More daylight after work. More time outside. Even simple things like a walk or sitting out for a bit feel easier.
In places like Tenerife, where the weather already does most of the work… that extra light just adds to it.
Not Everyone Loves It
Some people enjoy it straight away.
Others take a couple of days to adjust… and feel slightly off until they do.
Either way, it’s here now.
A Different Pace
This is usually the point where things start to open up a bit.
More plans, more time outdoors, more reasons to actually use the evenings instead of watching them disappear.
It’s a small change… but it shifts the rhythm.
Worth Noting
The clocks move forward every year.
But it’s what comes with it that people actually notice.
Longer days, better evenings… and that feeling that the year’s finally getting going.
