If you like cheese (and I do, although my doctor isn’t happy about it!)… this one’s definitely worth knowing about.
The XV Feria del Queso de Canarias is back in Pinolere (La Orotava) on Saturday 11th and Sunday 12th April 2026, held at the Museo y Parque Etnográfico.
It’s one of those events that’s been running for years and tends to draw a good crowd.
More Than Just Cheese
This year’s theme is “S.O.S. al sector primario”, which is basically a call for more support for local agriculture and producers.
And to be fair, that’s what the event is really about.
Yes, there’s plenty of cheese… but it’s also about the people behind it. The farmers, producers, and small businesses that keep things going across the islands.
What to Expect
You’ll find a mix of:
- Local cheeses from across the Canary Islands
- Producers and artisan stands
- A generally busy, social atmosphere
It’s not overly polished or commercial, which is part of the appeal.
Worth Going?
If you’re around the north that weekend, it’s an easy one to drop into.
Good setting, local produce, and something a bit different from the usual.
