Titsa Expands Services and Restores Routes Across Tenerife for Summer

As summer arrives in Tenerife, Titsa is rolling out its seasonal timetable, bringing back popular routes and increasing services to some of the island’s busiest beaches and coastal areas.

The changes come into effect on Monday, just ahead of the San Juan celebrations, and are designed to help residents and visitors reach some of Tenerife’s most popular summer destinations without relying on private vehicles.

Popular Beach Routes Return

Among the main updates is the return of Line 546, which reconnects Realejo Alto and Realejo Bajo with Playa del Socorro, a favourite beach destination in the north of the island.

Titsa has also introduced Line 948, which will connect Azanos with Benijo via Almáciga, providing improved access to one of the most visited areas of the Anaga Rural Park during the summer months.

Additional Services to Coastal Areas

Several existing routes will also see increased frequencies to cope with seasonal demand.

These include:

  • Line 910: Santa Cruz Interchange to Las Teresitas
  • Line 946: Santa Cruz, San Andrés, Taganana and Almáciga

Weekend services on these routes will be strengthened to accommodate the higher number of beachgoers and visitors heading to the coast.

Better Connections Around the Island

The summer timetable will also improve access to a number of other popular coastal destinations, including:

  • Mesa del Mar
  • Bajamar
  • Punta del Hidalgo
  • Punta de Teno
  • El Rincón
  • Radazul
  • Tabaiba
  • La Nea
  • Las Caletillas
  • Candelaria

Additional journeys will be added on some routes, while others will benefit from improved connections and scheduling.

Summer Adjustments to Other Services

As is customary during the summer period, some services linked to university activity will be temporarily suspended until the new academic year begins.

Several university shuttle routes and services that experience lower passenger numbers during the holiday season will operate on modified schedules or pause temporarily.

Encouraging Public Transport

With road congestion continuing to be a challenge during the busiest months of the year, Titsa hopes the enhanced summer timetable will encourage more people to use public transport when travelling to beaches, coastal towns and leisure areas.

The aim is simple: make it easier to enjoy Tenerife’s coastline while helping reduce traffic on some of the island’s busiest roads.
