Some guachinches try to do everything…
This one keeps it simple… and does it properly.
The Place
Guachinche Los Felipes, up in La Victoria de Acentejo.
Family-run… no fuss… and only open while the wine lasts.
Which already tells you a lot.
What They’re Known For
If you go here, there’s one thing most people order:
Rabbit
- Either stewed or in sauce
- Full of flavour… with a bit of heat
- Proper home cooking, not watered down
It’s the dish people come back for.
The Food in General
The menu’s short…
But that’s the point.
- Salted fish with potatoes and gofio
- Meat in sauce with chestnuts
Nothing fancy… just done well.
And when it’s done properly, you notice the difference.
The Wine
Their own house red wine…
And apparently one of the better ones around this year.
Worth paying attention to, especially since:
When the wine runs out… they close.
That’s how guachinches are meant to work.
Opening Times
📍 Calle San Antonio, 61 (La Victoria)
⭐ Around 4.4 on Google
🕐 Thu–Sat: 12:00–22:00

Worth Knowing
It won’t be open forever this season…
Lower wine production means shorter openings.
So if it’s on your list… don’t leave it too late.
