A Story Inspired by Real Events

Terra do Fogo focuses on the true story of a family affected by the catastrophic Portuguese wildfires of 2017, a year in which around 500,000 hectares of land were destroyed and more than 100 people lost their lives.

On stage, creators André Amálio and Pedro Salvador weave together personal testimonies, factual data and reflections on land management, climate challenges and the future of forests.

The production is enhanced by:

✔ Original music composed by Pedro Salvador
✔ Scenic design by Ana Paula Rocha
✔ Documentary-inspired storytelling based on real experiences

Post-Show Discussion

Following the Saturday performance, audience members will have the opportunity to take part in a discussion moderated by students from the Canary Islands School of Actors.

✔ Post-show colloquium on Saturday 13 June
