The Iberostar Heritage Grand Mencey will host an evening of wine, fine dining and Tenerife flavours on 28 August
The Iberostar Heritage Grand Mencey is hosting the first edition of the Mencey Gastronomic Festival on 28 August, bringing together Tenerife wine, local produce and fine dining for an evening built around the island’s culinary identity.
The event will take place at the Los Laureles Restaurant terrace, offering guests a chance to enjoy the setting as well as the food and wine.
An evening built around Tenerife wine
The programme begins at 18:30, with a guided tasting from Bodega Viñátigo.
Guests will discover five wines selected to showcase the variety and character of Tenerife’s wine-producing landscape.
At 19:30, the experience continues with a virtual visit to the Viñátigo winery, offering an insight into the history and winemaking process behind the wines being tasted.
Then, at 20:45, the evening moves on to dinner at the Los Laureles Restaurant terrace.
The idea is simple enough. Good wine, good food and a setting that should do a pretty decent job of making you forget about whatever was happening on your phone.
A taste of Tenerife at the Mencey
The event is designed as a celebration of Tenerife’s culinary landscape, bringing together traditional flavours, modern gastronomy and local wine in one evening.
For anyone interested in experiencing some of the island’s food and wine in a slightly more polished setting, it looks like an interesting one.
