There’s a place in the south that a lot of people drive past without thinking twice… and it turns out they’re missing a bit of a monster.
Bocaditos Chafira, a food truck in Oroteanda Baja, has built a bit of a reputation for doing bocadillos that are… let’s just say, not exactly light.
We’re talking close to a kilo in some cases.
Not Your Average Sandwich
These aren’t the kind of bocadillos you grab and eat on the go.
They’re stacked. Properly stacked.
One of the standouts is the “Frankenstein” (around €11), which lives up to the name. It’s packed with cochino, beef, pork loin, bacon, onions, egg… basically everything they could reasonably fit inside.
Finishing it is another story.
There’s also a more “simple” option, the mixto (€7.50)… although even that comes loaded with meat, cheese, tomato, and onion. Simple in name only.
A Bit of a Challenge
By all accounts, one person finishing one of these on their own isn’t guaranteed.
Even people going in confident tend to tap out halfway through.
Which, to be fair, is probably part of the appeal.
Why People Keep Going Back
It’s not just size for the sake of it.
The place has built a solid reputation, with strong reviews and a steady stream of regulars. At one point, they were knocking out over 150 bocadillos in a single day, which tells you everything.
They also mix things up with options like bocadillo de pata on certain days and the usual extras like choripán.

Worth It?
If you’re hungry… properly hungry… then yes.
Just don’t go in thinking it’s a quick snack.
