José Bros Brings “Pasión Lírica” to Tenerife… Three Dates Across the Island

If you’re into opera or something a bit more classical, this is worth knowing about.

Tenor José Bros is back on the island with a series of recitals under the name “Pasión Lírica”, joined by pianist Mario Álvarez.

It’s a simple format… just voice and piano, but that’s usually when this kind of music works best.

Where and When

There are three performances across Tenerife:

  • 16th April – 20:30 → Teatro Cine Los Realejos
  • 18th April – 20:00 → Auditorio de Adeje
  • 19th April – 19:30 → Auditorio de Tenerife (Chamber Hall)

So you’ve got a few chances depending on where you are.

What’s on the Programme

The setlist leans into well-known opera and zarzuela pieces, including:

  • Puccini
  • Verdi
  • Vives
  • Torroba

So expect a mix of big operatic moments and more traditional Spanish pieces.

Nothing too obscure… it’s the kind of programme most people will recognise, even if they’re not regular opera-goers.

The Performers

José Bros has been around long enough to know what he’s doing… performing in places like La Scala, Covent Garden, and the Teatro Real.

He’s also no stranger to Tenerife.

On piano, Mario Álvarez brings plenty of experience as well, having worked with a long list of well-known singers and conductors over the years.

Worth Going?

If you enjoy live music that’s a bit more stripped back and focused, this is a good one.

No big production, no distractions… just solid performances and a proper setting.
