If you’re interested in cars, new technology or simply like wandering around looking at things with engines, the Canary Islands Motor Show is back in Tenerife from 1 to 4 October.
The event returns to the Tenerife Exhibition Centre for its tenth edition, bringing together around 40 exhibitors across 75 stands.
Held every two years, the show has become a major meeting point for people interested in buying a new vehicle as well as those keeping an eye on where the automotive industry is heading.
25 brands under one roof
This year’s show will feature 25 vehicle brands, giving visitors the chance to look at a wide selection of new models in one place.
That’s probably considerably easier than spending several weekends driving from one dealership to another.
The exhibition covers more than 16,000 square metres, with manufacturers and companies from across the wider automotive sector taking part.
Electric, connected and increasingly clever
Technology is one of the main themes of this year’s event.
Visitors can expect to see developments in new engine technologies, electrification, safety systems and vehicle connectivity, alongside new mobility solutions.
The organisers say the show provides an opportunity for both members of the public and industry professionals to get a closer look at the latest developments in the sector.
The automotive industry is also a significant part of the Canary Islands economy, accounting for around 4% of regional GDP and supporting more than 18,000 jobs, according to figures presented at the launch.
So, whether you’re actually looking for your next car or just want to see what manufacturers are doing with electric motors, connectivity and all the other clever stuff that increasingly comes with four wheels, there’s plenty to see.
