Los Realejos is marking World Tourism Day with a weekend of free activities from Friday 25 to Sunday 27 September, giving residents and visitors several ways to explore the municipality without spending a fortune.
The programme includes guided walks, local food and wine, traditional activities, storytelling and a documentary screening, with most of the activities requiring advance registration.
Friday, 25 September
Casa del Llano food and traditions tour

The weekend begins with a guided visit to the Espacio de Fiestas y Tradiciones Casa del Llano, combined with a gastronomic tour featuring wine tastings and local products.
The activity will be led by Pedro Rodríguez Dios and Belén López.

Saturday, 26 September
‘Buscando a Heidi’ family walk

Families can head into the Chanajiga area for the ‘Buscando a Heidi’ family route.
Advance registration is required via e2w.es/MJ9I.
Wheat planting workshop

Back at Casa del Llano, there will be a traditional wheat planting workshop.
No advance registration is required, so you can simply turn up and have a go.
Canarian storytelling

Children can enjoy a storytelling session with ‘Los Cuentos de Sira’, featuring stories with a Canarian theme.
The activity takes place at Casa del Llano and does not require advance registration.
Documentary preview

The Teatro Cine Realejos will host a preview screening of the feature documentary I’m Watching You – Guachinches de Tenerife.
The film focuses on Tenerife’s much-loved guachinche tradition, so this is one for anyone interested in the island’s food, wine and slightly more informal side of life.
Places need to be reserved in advance through the Los Realejos booking system.
Sunday, 27 September
‘Un paseo junto a los dragos’

Sunday begins with a guided walk through the historic area of Realejo Bajo, following the route ‘Un paseo junto a los dragos’.

Wine, cheese and territory

The final activity moves outside Los Realejos, with Pedro Rodríguez Dios and Belén López presenting a wine and cheese showcooking at the Cheese & More Lovers Fest in La Laguna.
The session will showcase products connected with the Los Realejos Gastronomic Seal, bringing the municipality’s food and wine traditions to the event.
