MAPAS 2026 Brings Six International Dance Productions to Tenerife

The Auditorio de Tenerife is once again welcoming some of the world’s leading contemporary dance companies as MAPAS 2026 presents six internationally acclaimed productions throughout July.

Taking place in the venue’s Symphony Hall, this year’s programme promises a visually striking journey through contemporary dance, featuring celebrated choreographers and companies from across Europe and the Americas.

Programme Highlights

The 2026 edition includes:

  • 30th June & 1st July: Bogotá by Andrea Peña & Artists.
  • 4th & 5th July: Hamlet, Prince of Denmark by Ex Machina, directed by Robert Lepage, in collaboration with Côté Danse and Guillaume Côté.
  • 7th July: La Quijá, created by Paloma Muñoz.
  • 11th & 12th July: Hammer by Alexander Ekman, performed by the Göteborg Opera Dance Company.
  • 14th July: A double bill featuring Wild Poetry by Hofesh Shechter and ima by Sharon Eyal, both performed by the Göteborg Opera Dance Company.
  • 24th July: Bodies of Water, choreographed by Iván Pérez and performed by Dance Theatre Heidelberg.

Tickets and Season Passes

Tickets are available for individual performances, while visitors can also choose between a full season pass covering all six productions or a partial pass for three performances.

MAPAS has become one of Tenerife’s leading international performing arts events, bringing world-class dance to the island and showcasing innovative productions from some of the most respected names in contemporary choreography.
