Friday 18 September
The Locos: Reíslas
Teatro Leal | 20:30
Pedro Ángel Roca combines monologue, improvisation and plenty of audience participation in a show that turns everyday struggles into comedy.
The performance explores vulnerability and the absurdities of ordinary life, with a healthy dose of humour thrown in. Probably cheaper than therapy, although there are no guarantees.

I Encuentro Alumni ULL: La universidad con humor

Former students and familiar faces come together for a morning of university memories and comedy.
The line-up includes Piedra Pómez, featuring Paco Santana and Greg Figueras, Juan Luis Calero, Darío López, Yanely Hernández and Pili Soy Yo.
Menuda Cultura: Rescatando nuestras raíces
Plaza del Gran Poder de Bajamar | 12:00
Part of the Mi barrio es cultura initiative, this family event introduces children and parents to Canarian traditions, folklore and local heritage.
A good opportunity for younger residents to discover a bit of the culture around them, rather than spending the entire day looking at a screen.
Las noches de Cristito: Reíslas
Teatro Unión Tejina | 20:30
Comedian Cristo Díaz, known online as Cristito, brings his observations on life in the Canary Islands to the stage.
With more than 100,000 social media followers, his show puts the Canarian mother firmly at the centre of the comedy.

Sun Dance Family Sessions

This family-friendly session combines electronic music, movement and culture, with a DJ and movement professional leading participants of all ages.
The event highlights the relationship between physical activity, wellbeing and cultural experiences.
19th Concert of the ULL Symphonic Band

Cathedral Square becomes an open-air concert venue for the latest performance by the University of La Laguna Symphonic Band.
Organised by Alumni ULL, the event aims to bring university culture into the heart of the city.
Hablo poco: Fuera Broma

Carmen Romero’s latest show explores the contradiction of being described as a woman of few words while delivering a direct and introspective monologue.
Expect sharp humour, personal observations and rather more talking than the title might suggest.
Pedro, una rebeldía de silencios

Produced by the Pedro García Cabrera Cultural Chair, this play explores the work and legacy of the important Canarian poet.
The performance focuses on his social and political commitments, helping bring his writing and ideas to a wider audience.

Presentation of La gaveta
Convento de Santo Domingo | 19:00
María Ángeles Marrero Sicilia presents La gaveta, an anthology of short, accessible poems for children aged between three and five, alongside verses aimed at older readers.
The event will feature Zenaido Hernández, as well as performances by La Parranda Villera and Güicho Estévez.

Laura Morales uses dance and metaphor to explore heartache through the world of pastoral life.

Kim Simmons: Efecto Laguna

The new season’s first concert features Honduras-born, Tenerife-based singer Kim Simmons.
She will perform songs from her debut album, Free, blending soul, blues and funk. A good option for anyone looking for something a little smoother to finish the week.
