Free water fun coming to Santa Cruz neighbourhoods this summer

If you’ve got young children and you’re looking for something to keep them entertained during the school holidays, Santa Cruz has come up with a simple idea.

Instead of expecting families to travel into the city centre, it’s taking the fun out into the neighbourhoods.

The “Ofra se moja” programme will visit six locations across the Ofra-Costa Sur district during July, August and September, bringing water games, inflatable slides, foam parties and plenty of opportunities to cool off…all completely free.

What’s included?

Each event will feature water inflatables suitable for different age groups, a paddling pool for younger children, a giant foam party and free slush drinks for everyone taking part.

Just don’t forget the essentials…a towel, swimwear, flip-flops and plenty of sun cream.

Dates and locations

Here’s where you can find the events this summer:

  • 11 July | 10:30am to 2:00pm | CEIP Las Retamas
  • 18 July | 10:30am to 2:00pm | Parque Leoncio Oramas, Somosierra

A good way to keep the kids busy

Summer holidays can feel very long when you’re trying to keep children occupied every day.

Events like these are a nice way to get them outdoors, cool off in the Tenerife sunshine and let them burn off a bit of energy without costing anything.

If you live in or around the Ofra-Costa Sur area, it’s worth checking the dates to see when the fun is coming to your neighbourhood.
