If you live anywhere near Adeje, you might want to stick this one in the diary.
The Fiestas de La Hoya Grande 2026 are already underway, with the main events taking place from 22 to 31 August in honour of Nuestra Señora La Virgen de La Milagrosa.
There’s a bit of everything planned. Children’s activities, football, galas, live music, religious celebrations, processions, fireworks, street parties and, because this is Tenerife, a community meal to finish things off.
The main events
The programme really gets going on Friday 28 August with the La Hoya 2026 Children’s Queen Gala at 8:45pm.
The evening will include performances from local children, AM Dance Grup Ballet and comedian Aarón Gómez, with Melania Torres and Idaira Tena hosting.
Later on, there’ll be music from Pepex DJ, Ni un Pelo de Tonto and Generación Zero.
Saturday is a busy one.
From 10am, there’s a children’s party with water inflatables and activity workshops, followed by a family foam party at 1pm. Good luck getting the kids home clean after that.
In the evening, a mass and procession in honour of Nuestra Señora La Virgen de La Milagrosa will be followed by fireworks from Pirotecnia Piromart.
Then, naturally, it’s time for a street party with Toque Latino, Maquinaria Band and Grupo La Calle.
Wear white on Sunday
Sunday 30 August includes another mass and procession, followed by the Grand White Party at 7pm with Dúo Nivaria and Orquesta Paraíso.
The clue is in the name. Wear white.
The evening continues with more dancing and live music from Sensación Gomera and Orquesta Paraíso.
A proper Tenerife-style finish
The celebrations wrap up on Monday 31 August with a community meal at 7:30pm, accompanied by Grupo ALTAHAY SON.
There’s also a festival featuring AM Dance Grup Ballet, before the final street party gets underway at 11pm with Orquesta Sensación Gomera and Toque Latino.
During the evening, the committee for the 2027 Fiestas will also be appointed.
These local fiestas are one of the things Tenerife does particularly well. You can have a procession, fireworks, a foam party and a full-on street dance all within 24 hours. Try getting that past the council back in the UK.
