If you’ve ever walked around Amarilla Golf and thought it almost connects properly… it soon will.
They’re finally finishing it.
The Last Piece of the Puzzle
The final phase of the Amarilla Golf coastal path has just been approved.
This section will cover the Ensenada de la Rueda area… and more importantly, link everything together into one continuous seafront walk.
Which is what’s been missing.
Nearly €1.5 Million to Finish It
The total cost comes in at around €1.44 million.
Most of that is being covered by the Cabildo, with the local council putting in the rest.
Work will roll out across 2026 and into 2027… so not immediate, but at least it’s moving.
Built in Stages… Now Coming Together
This hasn’t appeared overnight.
The first two phases have been done over the past few years… just not quite joined up.
This final stretch is what turns it from “bits of walkway” into something that actually works as a proper route.
Why It Matters
It’s not just about making it look nicer… although it will.
It’s about access.
At the moment, parts of that coastline are awkward to get to or just disconnected. Once it’s finished, you’ll be able to walk the whole stretch without thinking about it.
And in an area like that, with the views it has… it makes sense.
If You Know the Area
You’ll know it’s been needed for a while.
This should tidy it up properly and make it feel a bit more complete.
Worth Watching
Still a bit of time before it’s finished… but at least now there’s a clear plan to get it done.
And once it is, it’ll be one of the better coastal walks in the south.
