If you think a burger is just a burger, Burger Fest Canarias might change your mind.
From 23rd to 26th July, Plaza del Cristo in La Laguna will once again become home to one of Tenerife’s most popular food festivals, bringing together more than 25 of the Canary Islands’ best burger restaurants for four days of food, live music and family entertainment.
Best of all, entry is completely free.
Four days of burgers and entertainment
The festival celebrates quality burgers made with locally sourced ingredients, giving visitors the chance to sample creations from some of the islands’ top burger specialists.
Whether you prefer a classic cheeseburger or something a little more adventurous, there should be plenty to keep even the fussiest burger fan happy.
The event also features a varied programme of live music and DJs throughout the weekend, creating a lively atmosphere from lunchtime through to late evening.
Live music every day
Each day offers a different line-up of entertainment.
Thursday gets things underway with sets from DJ Beat Creator and Juana La Cubana DJ.
Friday brings performances from Santiago Díaz, Dailos Di Marco, Las Mellizas DJ, Alive, a tribute to Pearl Jam, and La Maldita.
On Saturday, visitors can enjoy music from Roger’s Morgan, Deepak Daswani, Tana Sandoval, Joe Cabana DJ, before Serial Killerz DJ & Drums rounds off the evening.
The festival concludes on Sunday with performances by Ronal Herrera, Tu Mierda Indie, Coverama Rock and Eva Olvido.
Something for everyone
Burger Fest isn’t just about beef burgers.
There will also be a 100% gluten-free area, a vegan food zone, a section dedicated to desserts and sweet treats, plus a wide selection of craft and imported beers.
That makes it an event where everyone in the group should be able to find something they fancy.
Who makes Tenerife’s best burger?
One of the festival’s biggest attractions is its annual burger competition.
Participating restaurants will compete for the title of Burger Fest Canarias champion, with cash prizes awarded to the top three burgers.
The winning restaurant will receive €1,000, while second and third place earn €300 and €150 respectively.
Visitors also get their say, with a separate People’s Choice Award worth €150.
Whether you’re on the hunt for Tenerife’s best burger or simply looking for a relaxed day out with live music and good food, Burger Fest Canarias is shaping up to be one of the tastiest events of the summer.
