If you’re wandering around Santa Cruz for Canary Islands Day, chances are La Noria will smell very good.
The city centre street hosts A Modo Canario on 29 and 30 May, a gastronomic event celebrating local products, island wines and traditions from across all eight Canary Islands.
Two days.
Lots of food.
Probably very little willpower.
Canarian Flavours Take Over La Noria
The event aims to bring together producers, wineries and professionals linked to the Canarian primary sector, giving visitors a chance to explore what the islands produce beyond the usual supermarket shelf.
Expect:
• Local products from across the islands
• Canarian wines
• Traditional gastronomy
• Cultural displays linked to island identity
A proper Canary Islands showcase really.

Celebrating Island Produce
The event is designed to highlight local producers and strengthen the connection between:
• Food
• Territory
• Tradition
Which, to be fair, Tenerife usually does quite well.
Food has always been part of the celebration here.
Wine helps too obviously.
