Icod de los Vinos Announces Dates for the 2026 Tables of San Andrés

One of Tenerife’s most unusual and entertaining traditions is returning to Icod de los Vinos this November. The town has released the official programme for the 2026 Arrastre de Tablas, better known as the Tables of San Andrés.

It’s a tradition that involves people riding wooden boards down the steep streets of Icod, reaching some fairly impressive speeds along the way. Not something you’d necessarily recommend trying on your first visit to Tenerife!

This year’s official poster has been created by Canarian artist Víctor Jaubert, capturing the character and spirit of a celebration that has been part of the town’s identity for generations.

Programme of events

Friday 27 November

  • 9pm: Arrastre de Tablas at Plaza Andrés de Lorenzo Cáceres.
  • Symbolic opening of the first bottle of the year’s new wine.

Saturday 28 November

  • From 7pm: Arrastre de Tablas along Calle San Agustín.
  • Gran Fiesta de los Vinos, the Great Wine Festival.

Sunday 29 November

  • Arrastre de Tablas.

Monday 30 November

  • Arrastre de Tablas.

The wooden boards and the wine are very much at the heart of the celebrations, with the whole town getting involved in one of its best-known annual traditions.

If you’ve never seen the Tables of San Andrés in action, it’s certainly something different from your usual Tenerife festival.
