Tenerife steakhouse ranks 13th among Europe’s best

Char Fuego y Brasas in Costa Adeje has secured 13th place in the World’s Best Steak Restaurants rankings, putting the Tenerife restaurant among Europe’s leading destinations for meat cooked over fire.

The recognition reflects years of work focused on sourcing quality meat, specialist suppliers, ageing techniques and getting the best out of the grill. It’s a careful approach to a traditional steakhouse, with plenty of attention paid to where the meat comes from and how it’s prepared.

But Char has been building a reputation for more than its steaks.

Award-winning wine and signature cocktails

The restaurant was named Best Wine List in the Canary Islands 2026, recognising the quality of its cellar and the work of its sommelier team.

It has also received a nomination in Top Cocktail Bars, highlighting its range of signature cocktails and its approach to drinks beyond the usual restaurant offering.

Wine and cocktails are clearly part of the experience here, rather than something added as an afterthought.

Private dining with a difference

Char also hosts special gastronomic events throughout the year. Last month, it held La Table 88, a private dining experience built around a carefully selected range of exclusive wines and a menu created specifically for the occasion.

These events give diners the chance to explore food and wine in a more intimate setting, with a focus on individual products, pairings and dishes that go beyond a standard evening out.

The restaurant’s approach brings together meat, wine, cocktails and special dining experiences under one roof.

Reaching 13th place in Europe is a significant milestone for Char Fuego y Brasas, and another sign of Tenerife’s growing reputation as a destination for serious food lovers.
