Buenavista del Norte is getting ready for three weeks of celebrations in honour of Nuestra Señora de los Remedios, with a packed programme of cultural events, sport, religious services, live music and family activities.
The festivities run from 16 October to 1 November, bringing the community together for one of the municipality’s important annual celebrations.
Festivities Begin with a Special Opening Address
The programme gets underway on Friday 16 October with the traditional opening speech, delivered by Alejandrina Poleo, who organised children’s festivals in the 1970s and 1980s.
From there, the celebrations continue over the following weeks, with activities designed to appeal to residents of all ages.
The event is organised with the help of the local fiestas committee, whose work helps keep these community traditions alive.
