Fancy a night of live music, comedy and a bit of classical music being sent up? La Chirichota is bringing its show Vuelven Los Clásicos to Tenerife on Saturday 14 November.
The Gran Canaria-based comedy group will perform at the Auditorio Infanta Leonor in Los Cristianos, Arona, with the show starting at 8pm.
Founded in 2022, La Chirichota combines live music, theatrical performance and social satire. Its productions bring together original songs, vocal harmonies and ensemble comedy, drawing on familiar cultural references to poke fun at modern life.
Classical Composers Get the Comedy Treatment
Vuelven Los Clásicos, which runs for approximately 90 minutes, sees the performers dressed in period costumes and taking on the roles of classical composers.
Through live performances and original music, the characters become part of a theatrical story that links musical numbers with comedy scenes.
The central idea is the contrast between classical music and today’s popular culture. Expect a playful look at changing tastes, passing fashions and nostalgia, with the composers themselves having a few assumptions challenged along the way.
La Chirichota has built a following both on stage and through social media, thanks to its mix of musical talent, character acting and sharp humour.
