Horse lovers and families can enjoy a full day of equestrian activities when Granadilla de Abona holds its second Equestrian Fair on Sunday 25 October.
The event takes place at Rancho Bonanza, in El Desierto, from 10am to 7pm, celebrating Tenerife’s rural traditions and the people who work in the equestrian sector.
Organised by the council’s Primary Sector department, led by José Sanabria, the fair promises a packed programme for all ages.
Horses, Demonstrations and Family Activities
Visitors can watch equestrian displays, blacksmithing and horseshoeing demonstrations, veterinary talks and natural horsemanship sessions.
There will also be a gymkhana, a ring-race competition and an equine beauty contest.
For younger visitors, the programme includes horse and pony rides and children’s workshops. Specialist businesses will also be present, alongside a communal meal and other activities throughout the day.
Celebrating Tenerife’s Rural Traditions
The fair aims to showcase traditional rural life, recognise the work of professionals in the equestrian sector and promote responsible animal care and welfare.
Whether you are passionate about horses or simply fancy a family day out with something a little different, there should be plenty to see and do.
