The fiestas continue in Tegueste this weekend, with El Lomo – El Infierno becoming the meeting point for another couple of days of local tradition, music and community spirit.
Friday begins with a Mass
On Friday 18 September at 18:00, a Mass in honour of the Virgen de la Gloria will take place at the El Lomo sports court.
Then on Saturday, things move firmly into wine country.
The traditional grape harvest parade
The Caravana de la Vendimia gets underway at 16:00 on Saturday 19 September, leaving from the Los Zamorano car park before making its way towards the San Ignacio area.
As part of the afternoon, there will be a blessing of the vineyards, followed by a larger celebration at the El Lomo sports court.
It’s another of those Tegueste traditions that brings together the area’s agricultural history, local customs and, naturally, a fair amount of enthusiasm for the grape harvest.
