Burger Fest Canarias Brings Top Burgers, Live Music and Free Entry to La Orotava

Burger lovers are in for a treat as Burger Fest Canarias arrives in La Orotava on 7 and 8 August, bringing together some of the Canary Islands’ best burger restaurants, live entertainment and family-friendly activities.

Taking place at the Parking de Lercaro, the two-day festival offers free entry and combines great food, live music and local produce in what has become one of the archipelago’s most popular travelling food events.

Burgers Made with Local Canary Islands Produce

The festival will feature 12 burger restaurants and food trucks from across the Canary Islands, each serving their own signature creations.

A key focus of Burger Fest Canarias is the use of locally sourced, kilometre-zero ingredients, supporting Canarian producers and showcasing the quality of local meat, cheese and other regional products.

The aim is to celebrate local flavours while giving visitors the chance to sample a wide variety of gourmet burgers in one place.

Competition to Crown the Festival’s Best Burger

One of the highlights of this year’s event is a blind-tasting competition to find the best burger of the festival.

The winning restaurants will receive cash prizes of:

  • 1st Prize: €500
  • 2nd Prize: €300
  • 3rd Prize: €150

Festival-goers will also have the opportunity to vote for their favourite burger, with the public’s choice receiving an additional €150 award.

The overall winner will earn a place in the Burger Fest Canarias Grand Final, scheduled to take place in 2027 at the Recinto Ferial in Santa Cruz de Tenerife.

Alongside the food, visitors can enjoy a packed programme of live entertainment.

The family-friendly event is designed to offer something for everyone, whether you’re visiting for the food, the music or simply to enjoy the atmosphere.

A Festival That Keeps Growing

Since launching in 2019, Burger Fest Canarias has hosted more than 30 events across the Canary Islands and, according to organisers, has welcomed almost one million visitors.

The La Orotava edition is supported by La Orotava Town Hall, the Government of the Canary Islands and Comercio de Canarias, continuing the festival’s mission of promoting local gastronomy while supporting businesses across the archipelago.
