Summer in Tenerife wouldn’t be the same without outdoor concerts by the sea.
That’s exactly what Candelaria is offering once again as the Marea Festival returns for its 13th edition, bringing four nights of live music to Punta Larga Beach from 30 July to 2 August.
Now firmly established as one of the island’s most popular summer music festivals, the event continues to showcase Canarian talent in one of Tenerife’s most scenic coastal settings.
Four Nights of Live Music
All concerts begin at 9.00pm, with presenter Ramón Hernández hosting each evening.
This year’s programme includes:
- 30 July: Moise González presents his Contracorriente tour during an inclusive, barrier-free opening night.
- 31 July: Atteneri Caro, Cristina Mahelo and Agua del Chorro perform their Llegaron los Pibes tour.
- 1 August: Juan Mesa y Los Tetrabaifos, Batucada Almagec and La Caliente take to the stage with a lively mix of Canarian music and festive rhythms.
- 2 August: The festival closes with Princesa, performing a tribute to Joaquín Sabina, followed by Lotus Revival.
Music for Everyone
One of the festival’s defining features is its commitment to accessibility.
The opening night has once again been designed as an inclusive, barrier-free event, ensuring that as many people as possible can enjoy the performances.
Candelaria’s Mayor, Mari Brito, said the festival has become an important part of the municipality’s summer calendar, highlighting its support for live music created in the Canary Islands and its commitment to making culture accessible to everyone.
A Summer Favourite in Tenerife
According to the council, this year’s line-up has been carefully chosen to offer something different each evening, with a variety of musical styles appealing to a wide audience.
Held at the entrance to Punta Larga Beach, the Marea Festival continues to provide a platform for Canarian artists while giving residents and visitors another reason to spend a summer evening by the sea.
