29 August: Los Sabandeños Bring Cantándole a Hispanoamérica to El Médano

One of the Canary Islands’ most iconic musical groups will bring this year’s Sansofé 2026 cultural programme to a close with a special open-air concert in El Médano.

On 29 August at 9.00pm, Los Sabandeños will take to the stage in the town square with their latest show, Cantándole a Hispanoamérica, a tribute to the music, traditions and cultural heritage of Latin America.

A Celebration of Shared Musical Roots

For more than five decades, Los Sabandeños have been ambassadors for Canarian folk music, building strong musical links between the Canary Islands and Latin America.

In Cantándole a Hispanoamérica, the group explores those shared roots through a repertoire inspired by the rhythms, melodies and traditions that connect both sides of the Atlantic.

It’s a performance that celebrates not only music, but the cultural ties that have united the Canary Islands and Latin America for generations.

Closing Sansofé 2026 in Style

The concert forms the grand finale of Sansofé 2026, Granadilla de Abona’s summer cultural programme, which has featured weeks of concerts, exhibitions and community events.

Held in El Médano’s main square, the performance promises to provide a fitting conclusion to another successful season of cultural activities.
