Volcán Restaurant Opens to the Public at Bahia Principe Escape Tenerife

A new dining experience has arrived in South Tenerife with the opening of Volcán Restaurant, located within the Bahia Principe Escape Tenerife resort in Costa Adeje.

Open to both hotel guests and the general public since 26 June, the restaurant combines locally sourced ingredients, charcoal grilling and ocean views in an adults-only setting designed to offer a relaxed and memorable dining experience.

A menu centred around the grill

Leading the kitchen is Chef Abel Ferrándiz, a well-known name in Tenerife’s culinary scene, whose previous projects include Compartir QBA and Viejo Almacén.

Volcán’s menu focuses on cooking over charcoal, showcasing premium cuts of meat alongside locally sourced produce and Canarian flavours. The restaurant aims to celebrate the island’s ingredients while combining modern cooking techniques with traditional grilling.

According to Ferrándiz, the goal is to create a destination where both residents and visitors can enjoy a dining experience rooted in local produce and authentic flavours.

Adults-only atmosphere

Volcán forms part of the recently renovated Bahia Principe Escape Tenerife, which reopened in December 2025 as the company’s first Escape concept hotel in the Canary Islands.

The adults-only resort, welcoming guests aged 16 and over, has been designed as a peaceful retreat, featuring landscaped gardens, swimming pools and sea views.

The hotel also offers a Day Pass, allowing local residents to enjoy the resort’s facilities without staying overnight.

Reservations required

As part of the resort’s dining concept, advance reservations are required for Volcán Restaurant.

Bookings can be made through the official Bahia Principe Escape Tenerife website or by calling +34 922 72 31 00.

With its focus on charcoal-grilled cuisine, locally sourced ingredients and elegant surroundings overlooking the Atlantic, Volcán adds another high-end dining option to Tenerife’s growing gastronomic scene.
