Metrotenerife has introduced its annual summer timetable, adjusting tram services to match seasonal passenger demand across the island.
The revised schedule applies from Monday to Friday only, while weekend and public holiday services will continue to operate on their usual timetables, including the regular overnight service.
More frequent weekday services
During weekday peak periods:
- Line 1 will run every 6 minutes.
- Line 2 will operate every 12 minutes.
Summer timetable rolled out in phases
The first phase runs from 29 June to 5 July.
During this period, Line 1 will operate every 6 minutes between 7:00am and 3:00pm on weekdays. After 3:00pm, services will run at 7-minute and 15-minute intervals until the end of service at midnight.
Line 2 will maintain 12-minute frequencies during the same daytime period before changing to 15-minute intervals later in the day.
From 6 July to 30 August, services will be adjusted again to reflect summer travel patterns, with:
- Line 1 operating approximately every 7 minutes.
- Line 2 operating approximately every 14 minutes on weekdays.
Metrotenerife has confirmed that the gradual return to the winter timetable will begin during the first week of September.
