Tenerife to Host the Live Final of El Reto de MasterChef

Tenerife will take centre stage from 26th to 28th June as the island hosts the first-ever live final of El Reto de MasterChef, transforming Santiago del Teide into a hub of gastronomy, entertainment and digital content creation.

Over three days, 90 contestants will compete in a series of culinary challenges while being guided by some of Spain’s most recognised content creators and personalities. Together, the participating influencers reach an audience of more than 27 million followers, giving Tenerife significant national and international exposure.

Big Names Join the Competition

Among the Team Leaders taking part are Raquel Meroño and her daughter Martina, Nagore Robles, Rubén García, Estefanía de Andrés, Luzu, Chefenials and Daniel del Toro, who will mentor contestants throughout the event.

Adding to the entertainment, comedian, actor and presenter Álex O’Dogherty will serve as the official commentator.

Showcasing Tenerife to Millions

The event forms part of the second edition of El Reto de MasterChef, an initiative linked to the world’s most successful culinary talent show.

Following a debut edition that attracted more than 8,000 participants and generated over 150 million online impressions, the project continues to grow as a platform that combines gastronomy, tourism, culture and digital engagement.

Organised by the Cabildo de Tenerife, through its Department of Commerce and Business Support, in collaboration with Santiago del Teide Town Hall, the event aims to showcase the island while supporting local businesses and tourism.

A Pathway to MasterChef Spain

One of the biggest incentives for contestants is the opportunity to secure a place in the next chapter of the famous television competition. The three highest-ranked participants will earn direct access to Programme 0 of MasterChef España 2027, which will mark the show’s fifteenth season.

Local and National Support

The event is backed by a range of national and local partners. INTERPORC joins as the main sponsor, bringing its popular Spanish Bocata experience and live ham-cutting demonstrations.

Other collaborating brands include Dialprix Canarias, Galletas Gullón, Cosori, Avomix and Harinas P.A.N., while Binter will serve as the official travel partner.

Several Tenerife-based companies are also supporting the event, including Danone Canarias, Panadería Zulay, Dorada Especial, Bodegas El Lomo and Tirma.

With cooking competitions, entertainment and social media coverage reaching millions, Santiago del Teide is set to become one of the most talked-about destinations in Spain for three days this June.
