Tenerife continues to attract more holiday rental searches than any other Canary Island, with 11 municipalities featuring in the latest ranking of the archipelago’s most in-demand destinations.
The figures, published by holiday rental platform Holidu, are based on searches for stays between 4 July and 30 August 2026, once again highlighting the island’s year-round appeal.
Santa Cruz Tops the List
The two Canary Islands capitals, Las Palmas de Gran Canaria and Santa Cruz de Tenerife, share the top spot as the most searched destinations.
Both cities also offer some of the best value, with a median holiday rental price of €108 per night, making them among the most affordable options in the rankings.
Tenerife Dominates the Top 25
No other island comes close to Tenerife’s representation.
The study found that 11 Tenerife municipalities appear in the top 25 most popular destinations, compared with:
- Gran Canaria: 5 municipalities
- Lanzarote: 4
- Fuerteventura: 4
- La Palma: 1
The figures suggest visitors are choosing a mix of coastal resorts, cities and quieter towns across the island.
The Most Expensive Places to Stay
Holiday rental prices vary significantly depending on location.
The highest median nightly rates were recorded in:
- Yaiza (Lanzarote): €260
- Tías (Lanzarote): €172
- Adeje (Tenerife): €166
These destinations continue to attract visitors looking for premium accommodation, particularly during the summer months.
Where You’ll Find the Best Value
For travellers looking to keep accommodation costs down, Tenerife also offers one of the cheapest destinations in the Canary Islands.
Icod de los Vinos recorded the lowest median price in the study at €95 per night.
It was followed by:
- Los Llanos de Aridane (La Palma): €101
- Puerto del Rosario (Fuerteventura): €101
The difference between the cheapest and most expensive destinations shows just how varied the holiday rental market has become across the Canary Islands.
Another Strong Summer for Tenerife
With more destinations featured than any other island and a combination of both premium resorts and affordable towns, Tenerife continues to appeal to a wide range of visitors.
Whether travellers are looking for a city break, a beach holiday or a quieter escape, the latest figures suggest the island remains the Canary Islands’ first choice for holiday rentals.
