Tacoronte is celebrating another international sporting success after local kickboxer Joel “The Rock” Lladó was crowned international champion following an impressive knockout victory in Porto, Portugal.
Representing PRO-TEAM Kick Boxing Tacoronte, as well as Tenerife, the Canary Islands and Spain, Lladó delivered a standout performance during an international fight night, defeating an experienced Portuguese opponent by KO in the second round to secure the championship belt.
International Success for PRO-TEAM Tacoronte
The event marked another important milestone for the Tacoronte-based club, which continues to strengthen its reputation on the international kickboxing stage.
Joel Lladó’s victory was the highlight of the evening, showcasing both his skill and determination against tough competition on foreign soil.
Strong Performance From Marina Marichal
Fellow fighter Marina Marichal also impressed during the event.
Although she narrowly lost on points to her Portuguese opponent, her performance was highly competitive in what was described as a closely contested bout.

Under the guidance of coach Moisés Torres, the athletes of PRO-TEAM Kick Boxing Tacoronte once again demonstrated their ability to compete at a high level internationally.
