The Santa Cruz de Tenerife Habaneras Festival returns from 9 to 11 July 2026, bringing three evenings of traditional music to Plaza de la Iglesia de La Concepción as part of the city’s Virgen del Carmen festivities.
This year’s edition features 22 participating groups, one more than last year, making it the festival’s largest programme to date. Performances begin each evening at 7:30pm and include senior choirs, lyrical ensembles and free performance groups.

A celebration of Santa Cruz’s maritime traditions
The Habaneras Festival has become an established part of the Virgen del Carmen celebrations, celebrating the city’s strong maritime heritage through music inspired by the traditional habanera style.

The 2026 edition promises another memorable weekend of live performances in one of Santa Cruz’s most historic settings.
