The main celebration of the Fiestas de San Pedro 2026 takes place on Monday, 29th June, as El Sauzal comes together to honour its patron saint with a day of tradition, family activities and live entertainment.
The festivities begin in the morning with inflatable attractions and children’s workshops in Plaza de San Pedro from 10:30am to 2:00pm, followed by a puppet show by Tragaluz at 6:00pm, offering entertainment for younger visitors.
The highlight of the day arrives at 7:00pm with the Solemn Mass and Procession of San Pedro Apóstol at the parish church. Accompanied by the Agrupación Musical San Pedro, the procession will make its way through the town as residents and visitors celebrate the patron saint with devotion and tradition. The evening will also feature a fireworks display, adding a spectacular touch to the celebrations.
Bringing the day to a memorable close, legendary Spanish singer José Vélez will perform live in Plaza del Príncipe at 9:30pm, providing the headline concert of San Pedro Day and one of the most anticipated events of the entire festival programme.
The celebration forms part of El Sauzal’s wider festival programme, which runs until 5th July and features cultural events, concerts, traditional festivities and family activities throughout the municipality.
