Tenerife’s reputation as a dining destination continues to grow, and one of the island’s best-known luxury hotels has just given food lovers another reason to visit.
La Trattoria, at the five-star Bahía del Duque in Costa Adeje, has unveiled a new menu created in collaboration with Andrea Bernardi, the Michelin-starred chef behind the acclaimed restaurant NUB.
The result is a fresh take on Italian cuisine that combines classic recipes with Bernardi’s own contemporary style.
Traditional Italian dishes with a modern twist
The new menu celebrates authentic Italian cooking while adding refined touches that have become a hallmark of Bernardi’s work.
Among the standout dishes is Vitello Tonnato al Modo Bernardi, featuring tender beef paired with marinated tuna in the chef’s distinctive interpretation of the traditional Piedmont recipe.
Guests will also find timeless favourites including Carpaccio alla Giuseppe Cipriani and a refreshed version of Melanzane alla Parmigiana.
For those looking for something a little different, dishes such as fried Burrata with tomato jam and smoked Stracciatella offer a more contemporary take on Italian flavours.
Desserts remain true to their roots, with options including Pistachio Panna Cotta and a rich Chocolate Tortino, bringing the meal to a suitably indulgent finish.
One of Tenerife’s most celebrated chefs
Originally from Rome and raised in Genzano, Andrea Bernardi moved to the Canary Islands in 2005 and has become one of the region’s most respected chefs.
His restaurant NUB, located in Tenerife, has held a Michelin star since 2018, while Bernardi himself has received recognition as both Best Chef in the Canary Islands and Best Chef in Spain.
He describes his approach to cooking as being driven by passion, curiosity and respect for quality ingredients, principles that are reflected throughout the new menu.
A new dining experience at Bahía del Duque
With this latest collaboration, La Trattoria x Andrea Bernardi strengthens Bahía del Duque’s reputation as one of Tenerife’s leading culinary destinations.
Whether you’re staying at the resort or simply looking for an excellent Italian meal, the new menu offers the chance to enjoy authentic Mediterranean flavours prepared by one of the island’s most accomplished chefs.
It’s another reminder that Tenerife’s food scene now offers far more than sunshine and sea views.
