Mesa del Mar announces its summer fiestas in honour of Our Lady of Carmen, 20 to 23 August

The coastal community in Tacoronte will celebrate four days of traditional, religious and family events, including a maritime procession and children’s activities

Mesa del Mar is getting ready for four days of summer celebrations in honour of Nuestra Señora del Carmen, with the fiestas taking place from Thursday 20 to Sunday 23 August.

The 2026 programme, organised by the local Fiestas Committee in collaboration with the Fiestas and Citizen Participation Department, includes live music, traditional celebrations and a full programme for families.

📅 Date: Thursday 20 to Sunday 23 August 2026

📍 Area: Mesa del Mar, Tacoronte, North Tenerife

The celebrations begin on Thursday 20 August with performances by Luis De Seda and Renzo El Selector.

On Friday 21 August, the popular Fiesta de la Peluca will take over the celebrations, with music from Grupo La Calle.

The main religious celebrations

The main religious events will take place on Saturday 22 August.

A Mass in honour of Nuestra Señora del Carmen will be held at 18:00, followed by the traditional maritime and land procession.

The procession will be accompanied by fireworks and live music from DJ Airán Afonso, adding plenty of noise and colour to one of the main moments of the fiestas.

Sunday is for the kids

The final day, Sunday 23 August, will be aimed firmly at the younger members of the community.

From 11:00, children can enjoy games and workshops, along with a foam party, inflatable castles and a swimming competition in the natural pool.

The swimming competition will, of course, depend on sea conditions. Tenerife is lovely, but it hasn’t quite got round to taking orders from the organisers yet.

The four-day programme brings together the religious traditions of Mesa del Mar with music, entertainment and activities for all ages.
