La Laguna to Host Europe’s First Sesiones Desde La Loma Salsa Festival on 20 June

La Laguna will become the centre of the salsa world on Saturday, 20 June, as it hosts the first European edition of Sesiones Desde La Loma, one of the most influential contemporary salsa platforms in Latin music.

The event forms part of the 10th La Laguna Latino Festival and will take place in Plaza del Cristo from 8:00pm, with free admission for the public.

A Salsa Phenomenon Arrives in Tenerife

Created in Puerto Rico by singer-songwriter Norberto Vélez and producer Gabriel Ramos, Sesiones Desde La Loma has become a global reference point for salsa music, attracting more than 840,000 YouTube subscribers and millions of views.

For the first time, the project will cross the Atlantic to record an official session in Europe, placing Tenerife and La Laguna firmly on the international salsa map.

The special session, titled Pa’ La Laguna, will bring together some of the most respected names in Latin music, including:

A Major Event for Salsa Fans

Over the years, Sesiones Desde La Loma has played a significant role in promoting and revitalising salsa while embracing related genres such as bolero, merengue and traditional Latin American music.
