La Laguna Hosts SanBetinto with Wines, Tapas and Live Entertainment

La Laguna will once again celebrate the flavours of Tenerife as SanBetinto takes place on Thursday, 25th June, bringing together wines from the Tacoronte-Acentejo Denomination of Origin, local tapas and a programme of cultural activities in the heart of the city’s historic centre.

The event will run from 6:00pm to 11:00pm around Plaza de La Concepción and forms part of the Extra de Verano Tacoronte-Acentejo en La Laguna programme.

A Celebration of Tenerife’s Wine Culture

Organised by La Laguna Town Hall’s Department of Rural Development in partnership with the Tacoronte-Acentejo Regulatory Council, SanBetinto highlights one of Tenerife’s most established wine-producing regions while promoting local gastronomy and culture.

Visitors will have the opportunity to sample wines from ten wineries taking part in this year’s event:

  • Mallar de los Trazos
  • Viña El Drago
  • Tierra Fundida
  • Cráter
  • Trancao de Acentejo
  • Guayonge
  • Viña Estévez
  • Linaje del Pago
  • Hacienda de Acentejo
  • El Cercado

Local Flavours to Match

A selection of tapas will also be available from local food businesses, including Baggerman El Holandés, Cooperativa La Candelaria, La Cencerra, Charcutería Víveres Jacinto and Las Croquetas de la Oliva, allowing visitors to pair Tenerife wines with a variety of locally prepared dishes.

Stories, Art and Music

SanBetinto offers more than food and wine. From 6:00pm, storyteller Jesús Bayón will entertain visitors with tales inspired by the world of wine, while illustrator Víctor Jaubert will create artwork live throughout the evening.

The event will also feature Spanish music, creating a lively atmosphere in one of Tenerife’s most iconic public squares.

Set within La Laguna’s UNESCO World Heritage historic centre, SanBetinto offers an opportunity to experience the island’s wine, gastronomy and culture in a unique setting.
