Granadilla businesses invited to join this year’s Christmas decoration campaign

Christmas is creeping closer, which means it’s time for the shops of Granadilla de Abona to start getting their festive faces on.

The municipality’s Employment and Local Development Agency has opened pre-registration for its annual Christmas Decoration Campaign, giving local businesses the chance to take part in a coordinated festive display across the municipality.

The idea is fairly simple. Participating businesses will receive a shared Christmas decoration to place either in their shop window or inside their premises, creating a common theme throughout the campaign.

Who can take part?

The campaign is open to commercial establishments anywhere within Granadilla de Abona, regardless of what they sell or the size of the premises.

That includes restaurants, supermarkets, pharmacies, hairdressers and other local businesses.

There are a few exclusions, though. Large retail chains, franchises and businesses belonging to larger corporate groups are not eligible.

Registration is free

Pre-registration is free and is open from 5 to 31 October 2026, inclusive.

Places are limited, so businesses interested in taking part will need to get their applications in before they disappear.

The campaign gives local businesses a chance to get involved in the municipality’s Christmas celebrations while giving Granadilla a bit of extra festive sparkle.

And let’s face it, there’s no harm in starting Christmas decorations before someone inevitably puts up a giant inflatable Santa in November.
