FIMUCITÉ 20 Brings Two Weeks of World-Class Film Music to Tenerife

From 3rd to 19th July 2026, Tenerife will once again host FIMUCITÉ, celebrating its 20th anniversary with more than two weeks of concerts, screenings, masterclasses and special events dedicated to the world of film music.

Founded and directed by composer and conductor Diego Navarro, the Tenerife International Film Music Festival (FIMUCITÉ) has become an internationally recognised event, bringing together acclaimed composers, musicians and soundtrack enthusiasts from around the world.

This milestone edition offers a varied programme across several venues on the island, celebrating some of cinema’s most memorable scores through live performances and exclusive events.

A programme for film music lovers

Throughout the festival, visitors can enjoy:

  • Concerts performed by the Tenerife Symphony Orchestra and guest artists.
  • Star Wars: A New Hope in Concert, featuring a live performance of John Williams’ iconic score alongside the full film.
  • Special appearances by Academy Award-winning composers John Corigliano and Stephen Warbeck.
  • Talks, masterclasses and educational activities exploring the art of film composition.
  • Special screenings and events celebrating the music behind some of cinema’s greatest productions.

The sold-out Red Carpet Gala

One of the festival’s highlights takes place on Sunday 19th July with the FIMUCITÉ 20 Red Carpet Gala, which has already sold out.

Conducted by Diego Navarro, the anniversary concert will feature the Tenerife Symphony Orchestra, the Tenerife Film Choir and Camerata Lacunensis.

The programme includes music from some of the most celebrated films in cinema history, including:

The evening will also feature performances of The Red Violin – Chaconne for Violin & Orchestra by John Corigliano and the Shakespeare in Love Suite by Stephen Warbeck, with both composers attending the gala as honoured guests.
